Our professional install team worked closely with the steel erectors to brace the structure and make it ready to receive the 5 ply Cross Laminated Timber panels (CLT’s) supplied by Structurlam Mass Timber Corporation.  CLT were unloaded and hoisted directly on to structural steel frame and were used for the roof as well as an end shear wall.  Glazing and CLT wrap the exposed structural steel frame which creates a space perfect for the new cafe and gift shop.  This central location connects the new entrance plaza of the Fort Edmonton Park beautifully as well as making a more inviting pathway to the adjacent John Jansen building.
